	Dr. Sujoy Dasgupta believes in <em>patient's autonomy and patient-centered care</em>, which means he strongly encourages the patients to take their own decision, rather than imposing his own decision on his patients. He subsequently obtained DNB  from National Board of Examinations. He has conferred the membership (MRCOG) of <em>Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), London</em>. He pursued <em>different training courses </em>in Infertility, Ultrasound, ART, Laparoscopy, Colposcopy and Hysteroscopy from different institutes. He also completed the PG program on <em>Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility</em> from American College of Obstetricians &amp; Gynaecologists. He was awarded the fellowship (FIAOG) from Indian Academy of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He subsequently, pursued the training programme on advanced ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology) courses from the CREST (Centre for Reproductive Education and Specialist Training) of NUHS (National University Hospital System) Singapore. He presented papers and posters in various conferences including the RCOG World Congress and won the first prize in many occasions.He received the prestigious Prof Geogffrey Chamberlain Award for his oral presentation at the RCOG World Congress, London, 2019

	Dr. Dasgupta has been <em>invited to deliver lectures</em> in more than 50 conferences at regional, national and international levels. He has, to his credit, <em>15 research publications</em> at national and international journals. He is a peer-reviewer of BMJ Case Reports, an international journal published from the UK. He has also been involved in “<em>MRCOG Training Programme</em>” for training the doctors aspiring for MRCOG. He is an active member of the Bengal Obstetric and Gynaecological Society (BOGS) and has been serving the same as Secretaries of various subcommittees and the member of the Managing Committee. He is also the member of Quiz Committee and Food and Drug Committee of FOGSI (Federation of Obs &amp; Gynae Societies of India). He is taking a keen interest in taking part to organize various scientific programmes by BOGS, FOGSI, IAGE (Indian Association of Gynae Endoscopists) and ISAR (Indian Society of Assisted Reproduction). 	He performs all types of <em> Infertility Treatments for</em> both male and female partners. 						<h2><u>What are the treatment options for low AMH?</u></h2>
						<p>
							Only a low AMH cannot decide what treatment you should have. Age is the most important factor to decide the mode of treatment. We also have to check your duration of infertility, previous pregnancy (if any), condition of your tubes and also partner’s sperms. .If all other factors are favourable and you have only low AMH, a short period of Ovulation Induction (OI- Giving medicines to stimulate the ovaries to release the eggs) and IUI (Intra-uterine insemination- partner’s sperms are inserted inside your womb through a small catheter) can be tried. If these fail, you may need to consider IVF.
						</p>
						<h2><u>Is IVF done as the last resort? </u></h2>
						<p>
							A low AMH does not always mean that you need IVF. However, if your age is on the higher side or duration of infertility of long, IVF may be the better option for you, rather than OI or IUI. IVF should also be considered if your tubes are blocked or partner’s sperm count is very low. .In IVF, your eggs are stimulated with hormones and are then collected in the laboratory. The eggs are then “fertilized” with the sperms to produce the embryos, which are then transferred inside your uterus. However, in small number of women with low AMH, the chance of obtaining eggs is reduced and even if, eggs are obtained, these may not be of good quality. If pregnancy does not result and embryos are not of good quality, then you may be offered “Egg Donation-IVF”.
						</p>
						<h2><u>“Egg Donation”- What is it actually? </u></h2>
						<p>
							In women with low AMH, egg donation is usually done as a last resort. Here, the eggs are collected from another woman (donor), who has been checked to ensure that she is healthy and does not contain any diseases like HIV, hepatitis or thalassaemia. These eggs are then fertilized with your husband’s sperms and the embryo is inserted inside your uterus. The process will remain confidential, that means except you and your husband, nobody will know that donor-egg has been used.However, before using donor eggs, we usually advise the couples to try IVF (if required) with self-eggs.
						</p>
						<h2><u>What to do if previous IVF failed? </u></h2>
						<p>
							In case of low AMH, if you had good number of healthy embryos produced from your own eggs, the excess embryos can be frozen. So, if the first embryo-transfer fails, you still have your own embryos for transfer in future.
						</p>
						<p>
							But if you had small number of embryos and all have been transferred (none remained for freezing), we have to review whether the quality of the embryos was good or not. As only one healthy embryo can give rise to pregnancy, if embryos were of good quality (Grade A), then you can try second IVF with your own eggs. However, if embryo quality was not good (Grade B or poorer), it’s better to think about egg-donation.
						</p>
						<h2><u> What is the chance of success? </u></h2>
						<p>
							The chance of success depends on your age, duration of infertility and your response. In general, the chance of pregnancy after each cycle of IUI is 15-20% (out of 100 women having IUI, 15-20 can conceive after 1st cycle) and after IVF, it is 30-40%. However, the chance is slightly lower in women with POR.
						</p>
						<h2><u>Is there any risk in pregnancy? </u></h2>
						<p>
							Every pregnancy carries some risk of miscarriage, abnormalities in the baby, premature delivery and growth problems. The mother can suffer from diabetes, high blood pressure (Preeclampsia) and bleeding. All these risks are slightly increased in women who conceive with POR. However, majority of these women will have uncomplicated pregnancy.
						</p>
						<h2><u>Is there no chance of natural conception? </u></h2>
						<p>
							In women who attain menopause before 40 years, 10% can conceive spontaneously, without any treatment. In women with low AMH but having menstruation, this chance of natural conception is even higher. So, low AMH does not always mean that you have to go for OI, IUI or IVF. But it again depends on your age and other factors.
						</p>
						<h2><u>What medicines can be tried? </u><u>Or anything else? </u></h2>
						<p>
							Some medicines may be tried to improve ovarian response. DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone) showed some positive results. In some women, testosterone gel or antioxidants, vitamin D3 etc can be helpful. However, whether the medicines are actually helpful, is a matter of debate and it needs further research..
						</p>
						<h2><u>Conclusion</u></h2>
						<p>
							Al low AMH does not always mean that you cannot become mother. Most of the women conceive either spontaneously or by medicines or by IUI. Few of them require IVF. Donor-IVF is usually used as a last resort.

<h2><u>What is AMH? </u></h2>
<p>
	AMH (Anti Mullerian Hormone) is a hormone secreted by the ovaries into blood and it indicates the "ovarian reserve".
</p>
<h2><u>What is meant by less number of eggs?</u></h2>
<p>
	A woman is born with finite number of eggs in her ovaries. This is called “Ovarian Reserve”. In every month, number of eggs are destroyed and this is unavoidable. From adolescent years, one mature egg is released from the ovaries and if it can meet with the sperm, pregnancy is possible, However, the process of destruction continues. As a result, when she attains menopause (permanent cessation of menstruation), there ovarian reserve is severely diminished, making pregnancy almost impossible. However, in some women, this process of destruction is accelerated and this decreases the ovarian reserve markedly, compared to her age. This is called <em>“Poor ovarian reserve (POR)” or “Less number of eggs”.</em>
</p>
<h2><u>What may be the possible reasons?</u></h2>
<p>
	In most cases, the exact reason is not known. It may be due to chromosomal problems, diseases running in families, surgery done in ovary, endometriosis, exposure to chemotherapy or radiation etc. Smoking and environmental factors may also be responsible.
</p>
<h2><u>How can I know that I have less number of eggs? </u></h2>
<p>
	Unfortunately, majority of the women, who are having “less number of eggs”, do not know that they are suffering from it. It is suspected if you have any risk factors like previous operation, family history or chemotherapy treatment. Blood results can show low AMH. The most definitive test is checking for the eggs (called AFC- Antral Follicular Count) by ultrasound probe inserted in vagina (TVS- Transvaginal sonography). However, it must be kept in mind that a single result is not confirmatory. AMH level varies from one laboratory to another. A single low AMH does not always mean POR. Similarly, low AFC needs to be interpreted with care. In short, we have to look into age, AMH and AFC together, not separately.
</p>

					<h2>"IVF is Painful"</h2>
					<ul>
						<li>Initially you need to take some injections under the skin, just like insulin. These will cause littlediscomfort but are not painful.</li>
						<li>The egg collection,called Ovum Pick up, is done, by passing a fine needle through the vaginainside the ovaries, under anaesthesia. So, there is no question of pain. The final step, the <a href="https://www.practo.com/healthfeed/embryo-grading-32488/post">embryo transfer</a> is done usually without anaesthesia. It may cause little discomfort but is not painful.</li>
						<li>So, there is nothing painful</li>
					</ul>
					<h2>"IVF is NOT safe"</h2>

						<li>Overall IVF is a very safe procedure for most of the women</li>
						<li>The hormonal injections sometimes can cause temporary symptoms like vomiting, bloating and mild cramps </li>
						<li>In very few cases,these hormones can cause excessive stimulation of the ovaries (OHSS- Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome) that, in severe cases can affect lungs, heart, kidney, liver etc. </li>
						<li>However, in almost all cases, proper monitoring can detect OHSS by the earliest time </li>
						<li>The egg collection(Ovum Pick up) can rarely cause bleeding, infection, organ injury and anaesthesia related complications </li>
						<li>There is no long term adverse effects of IVF</li>
					</ul>
					<h2>"IVF Pregnancy means complete bed rest and lots of restrictions"</h2>
					<ul>
						<li>Scientifically bed rest will not increase the chance of pregnancy or reduce the risk of miscarriage. </li>
						<li>Bed rest will only make you feel psychologically better and you will think you are doing something. </li>
						<li>Many women are taking rest after IVF, simply because of fear for the uncertainties. </li>
						<li>So, bed rest is not necessary.</li>
					</ul>
					<h2>"The babies will not be normal after IVF"</h2>
					<ul>
						<li>In every pregnancy,there is small risk of abnormalities of the baby </li>
						<li>The reasons are-genetic problems, some medicines, environmental pollution or infections </li>
						<li>The risk is similar in IVF-Pregnancy </li>
						<li>IVF will NOT increase the risk of abnormalities of the baby</li>
						<li>So, after IVF, the chance of abnormalities DOES NOT increase</li>
					</ul>
					<h2>"IVF cannot be successful after the first attempt"</h2>
					<ul>
						<li>In any medical procedures, nobody can ensure that the success will be 100% and there will be no complications </li>
						<li>If you take medicines for relieving pain, there is no guarantee that that medicine will act </li>
						<li>The same applies to IVF </li>
						<li>The success depends on the cause of infertility, the age and the duration of infertility </li>
						<li>The internationally accepted statement is that the success rate of IVF is 40-50%</li>
						<li>That means out of 100 women undergoing IVF, 40-50 will conceive after one cycle of IVF</li>

						Unfortunately, <em><u>in many of such cases, medicines cannot work</u></em>. Still, you can become biological father using your own sperms. Initially you can take medicines. but even after taking medicines, sperm counts remain abnormal, you should consider IUI or IVF.

If the eggs about to rupture, husband’s sperm is collected, processed (“preparation”) and then inserted inside the uterus. The success rate is 10-15% per cycle. That means out of 100 couples trying IUI, 10-15 can conceive after the first cycle. You can try maximum 3-4 cycles of IUI.
					</p>
					<h2><u>When IUI can be done? </u></h2>
					<p>
						If the sperm count is mildly/ moderately low, IUI  can be tried. However, for doing IUI, at least one fallopian tube of your wife MUST be open. Moreover, the success rate of IUI is higher if your wife's age is less than 35 years, she is having good number of eggs in the ovaries and you are not trying for pregnancy for long time.
					</p>
					<h2><u>What is IVF (in vitro fertilization)? </u></h2>
					<p>
						Your wife  will be given some injection (gonadotrophin) to promote growth of the follicles (fluid filled sacs in the ovaries containing eggs). Injections are NOT painful and are needed to be taken under the skin. She has to come to TVS (ultrasound by putting probe in the vagina) follicular study regularly to see if the follicles are growing. Usually, injections are needed  for 10-12 days. After that, under anaesthesia, eggs are collected from her body by inserting small needle. The eggs are then fertilized with the sperm to produce the embryos. The embryos are then transferred after 2-3 days (Fresh Transfer) or after 2-3 months (Frozen Transfer). The success rate of IVF is 40-50%. That means out of 100 couples undergoing IVF, 40-50 can conceive after the first cycle.
					</p>
					<h2><u>When IVF should be done? </u></h2>
					<p>
						If you have tried IUI for 3-4 cycles and failed, you should consider IVF. If your wife's fallopian tubes are blocked, her age is on the higher side, she is having less number of eggs in the ovaries and you have been trying for pregnancy for longer time, you should NOT delay IVF.
					</p>
					<h2><u>What to do if the sperm count is severely low?</u></h2>
					<p>
						In that case, you require a special type of IVF, called ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection). Here, the sperms collected from you, will directly be injected inside the eggs collected from your wife to form the embryo. It increases the success rate.

						There is also no need to use donor sperms. You can father your own baby using your own sperms, collected from your testicles, by small needle (TESA- Testicular Sperm Aspiration). Those sperms can be used for ICSI.

					<h2><u>What medicines should I take if the second semen analysis report is also abnormal? </u></h2>
					<p>
						It all depends on how abnormal the report is. In case of mild abnormalities, we give medicines called <u>"Antioxidants"</u> (special types of minerals and vitamins that act on the sperms) for 2-3 months and ask to repeat the test again to see if there is any improvement. At the same time, some life-style changes are advised. These include avoidance of smoking and alcohol, reducing weight, avoidance of using tight underwear, prolonged sitting and driving.
					</p>
					<p>
						However, if the problem is severe, you can take antioxidants. But it is more IMPORTANT to do some tests to FIND OUT THE CAUSE. Sometimes, we can find the cause like diabetes, which if controlled, can improve your sperm count without any other treatment.
					</p>
					<h2><u>What tests are required? </u></h2>
					<p>
						You may need physical examination of your genital organs by the doctor. You may be advised some blood tests for hormones (Testosterone, FSH, LH, Sugar etc). Some ultrasound examination of your testicles or prostate gland may be advised. In severe cases, some genetic testing (blood test to see if there is any chromosomal problem) may be needed.
					</p>
					<h2><u>Can any medicines help if there is severe problem? </u></h2>
					<p>
						In most of the cases, medicines cannot help. <u><em>You can take antioxidants but SHOULD NOT RELY solely on it. </em></u>In most cases, <u>you will require IUI or IVF</u>. However, there is ONLY ONE CASE where medicines can ACT DRAMATICALLY. That is if there is problem in the pituitary gland (situated in the brain). In that case, taking gonadotrophin injections for 3-6 months will significantly improve your sperm count.
					</p>
					<h2><u>What's the problem if medicines are taken for long time? </u></h2>
					<p>
						As such, medicines will not harm. But if you take medicines despite the fact that your sperm count is not improving, you can land up in azoospermia. This is because, in male having severe oligospermia, there is a tendency that sperm count may further decrease over time. Therefore, <u><em>relying on medicine will INDIRECTLY HARM you. </em></u>Rather, you should think of IUI or IVF.
					</p>
					<h2><u>Can Testosterone be taken? </u></h2>
					<p>
						Even if your testosterone is low, if you start taking tablet/ injection of testosterone from outside, your SPERM COUNT WILL DECLINE FURTHER. Therefore, under any circumstances, if you want to become father, you SHOULD NOT TAKE TESTOSTERONE. Sometimes, after hormonal tests, we can advise tablets like Letrozole, which can help to improve the testosterone level, indirectly.
					</p>
					<h2><u>IUI or IVF- What to do? </u></h2>
					<p>
						If the sperm count is mildly/ moderately low, IUI (Intrauterine Insemination) can be tried. however, if its severely low, you should go for special type of IVF (in vitro fertilization), called <em>ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection</em>). <u>All of these will be done using your sperms onl</u>y.

I do not know really, what should I write about him. having married for 5 long years and trying treatment at various places, we were really disappointed. Honestly speaking, we talked to Dr Dasgupta, just to see if he can give us some hope. To our surprise, he did not give false assurance, he just expressed in detailed the chance of success and always asked for our opinion before deciding any further mode of therapy. He reviewed thoroughly all previous test reports and prescriptions and advised only the tests which were not done before. Even he explained why these tests were necessary. My AMH was found to be low. He explained the report and said what treatment options we can try. He never forced us for IVF with donor egg, as I was not ready to accept that. Do not know what to write. A doctor who does not merely right tests and tablets. We struggled with infertility for long time. He saw all previous prescriptions and reports. He discussed all the problem by drawing diagram. Encouraged us to see documents in internet, without any ego problem. He asked "What we have thought about treatment". 02.02.2018- It was my first meeting with the renowned Dr. Sujoy Dasgupta, one of the gem of Medical College, Kolkata & also senior of my husband. Despite the happiness, I was very anxious as well as nervous regarding my 1st pregnancy, but when I came out from his chamber I was extremely delighted as if someone magically changed my mind suddenly. I have long story to describe. I am a patient of PCOS. Initially I did not take it seriously, but when we tried to conceive, we faced difficulty. We consulted many doctors and were really confused as we could not decide what to do. Then we visited Dr Dasgupta. At the very first visit, he did not tell anything about the decision plan, just asked us to try regularly and described us the facts of our problems with some pictures. Then we followed his advice. At times we felt very much frustrated and disappointed and felt that we can never become parents. At that point, when I or my husband contacted him, he remained cool and advised us in supportive manner. He never forced any decision on us, he rather asked our opinion every time. Incidentally, my tubes were found to be blocked in HSG. He again gave us long time to describe plan of treatment. I was undecided whether to go for IVF directly or trying laparoscopy. My husband wanted IVF but I preferred laparoscopy. Again on this issue we visited him several times and he talked to us in very relaxed and supportive manner. He repeatedly stress us that "its your decision, I can only help you". I never found a doctor, showing such respect to his patients. After his treatment, my periods became regular and I thought PCOS was cured, but he gave no false reassurance and said "PCOS cannot be cured, just be controlled". We finally decided for laparoscopy and did all necessary tests. But on the day before hospital admission, he asked me to check for pregnancy, as this was a normal protocol before laparoscopy. To our utter surprise and by the blessings of God, it was positive. Throughout my journey, I was very much scared. I used to think everything regularly, but whenever we talked to him, he boosted us in positive manner, although he never gave any false guarantee. He remained alert to my situation and whenever I contacted him by phone or Whatsapp, he responded quickly. I heard from many of my friends, how did they feel hopeless during pregnancy as they could not reach their doctors. But fortunately, I never felt that. I opted for C-section. But at 35 weeks, suddenly I felt no movement of my baby. When called him, he took it seriously and arranged for CTG test and decided for urgent delivery. He visited me regularly in the hospital, when I was admitted and discharged me 3 days after my operation. I will never forget what he has done for me, how he transformed my life and how did he walk extra miles to take care of me. It's simply beyond any formal doctor-patient relationship. I know I cannot have any words to thank him, so I am not saying anything like "Thank You".

We came from Burdwan for infertility treatment. I had multiple fibroids and many doctors asked to operate. Dr Dasgupta discussed our problem taking so much time and advised that we should try for 6 months and if still no results, he would think of operation. Fortunately I conceived before any treatment. When we visited his chamber, he arranged for ultrasound in another centre, so that we did not have to wait much. But my baby was found not to grow well. Dr Dasgupta explained it and advised delivery at 37 weeks. Baby's birth weight was only 1800 gram but now baby is also fine. I am enjoying motherhood without any problem. I came to know about Dr Sujoy Dasgupta through Practo and consulted him for my mothers protruding uterus. The way the Dr took the patient's history was fascinating. He recommended Vaginal Hysterectomy for my mother with full confidence. The operation was performed very smoothly on 17th Mar'17 and my 72 years old mother could return home from the hospital within three days of the surgery. We were coming from Bangladesh to seek treatment of infertility, after losing all hopes. My report was showing I can never become father because I did not have enough sperms. A gynecologist taking care of pregnancy must have patience to listen to all the problems like pain, vomiting etc and must answer quietly all the stupid questions of a new mother. This feedback is for those of my friends who are struggling, as we used to do for long time, to become parents. After past traumatic experience we did not want tobtake any risk, so we kept on calling him whenever I was worried about any issue. I sometimes felt surprised even if it was midnight Dr Dasgupta picked up our call and talked in polite manner, even when my question appeared like a "stupid" (just like vomiting, pain, in legs etc). Even on the day of my delivery, he was with us and provided continuous support. I know I do not have enough space here, to describe his contribution. But my message to all the couples who are struggling like me. DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE. MIRACLE CAN HAPPEN. KEEP FAITH ON GOD.

I conceived naturally, but me and my husband always wanted a Doctor who will be with us in every situation which might arise throughout pregnancy.
We don’t wanted to go to a doctor who might remain unreachable in hours of need. As I had heard from some of my friends who suffered a lot during their pregnancy due to this.
I did google search and got to know about Dr. Sujoy Dasgupta whose all patients were so happy with him, due to his characteristics of being with his patients every time during this crucial period of their lives.
And it was true every inch. A doctor should be like this only, experienced enough to listen to all the worries, queries of a patient at any point of time. Should be calm enough to handle their immature questions even at times. I consider myself very lucky that my baby got delivered in his hands and now enjoying my motherhood, the ultimate bliss of any women’s life. Any word like thanks will be  very small to  express my gratitude to the role he has played in my life, So I wish him all the best.

Dr. Sujoy is epitome of God.He counseled us, newly married couples, when we were facing bit conjugal problems. He prescribed little medicine with simple exercise and promptly overruled the problem. We are very happy now thanks to the soft spoken down to earth gentleman.

I consulted one gynaecologist in my 2nd pregnancy, who advised Triple test and the result was positive, that meant my baby would have possibility of being abnormal. I consulted Dr Sujoy Dasgupta for 2nd opinion. He discussed the different aspects and next options available to me in lucid language over almost one hour. Still I was in a fix, 2nd day also he explained all the things and I agreed to do anomaly scan from Care IVF. It was normal. My quadruple test was done and it also came negative. Still I had doubt. Dr Dasgupta gave me proper support and ensured that everything was normal. He conducted my delivery and we have been blessed with a baby boy. He is absolutely normal and does not have any problem. It was Dr Dasgupta who supported me when I decided to continue pregnancy and not to abort. I am very much grateful to him. One thing I can tell you, if you consult him, he will explain every single thing before prescribing any medicine or any test.

After getting pregnancy 7 long years after marriage, I was under treatment of Dr Sujay Dasgupta. He communicated with my husband and parents properly about my condition, responded immediately to phone on any of my concerns, gave proper support in pregnancy. I had high and uncontrolled blood pressure at 8 month of pregnancy, for which he advised delivery before time. He himself talked to pediatrician on my condition and assured me about my baby. After delivery when my BP was high, he came to see me 3-4 times a day in hospital. Now i am fit, bp is normal and baby is fine. He is a good human being and he gives proper respect to patients.

I am grateful to him. I had PCOD and so I had pimples, for which I took Doxt Tablets. Surprisingly I got pregnant. I learned from Internet that Doxt can harm the baby. Everybody advised me abortion. But it was my first pregnancy and moreover in PCOD, there is usually problems in having pregnancy, so I wanted to continue. I consulted Dr Sujoy Dasgupta. I am enjoying motherhood of twin baby because of Dr Sujoy Dasgupta, 8 years after marriage. My reports were all normal but my husband's sperm count was very low, for which he felt depressed and no one could give any reassurance. He did not want to consult doctors and our relationship also suffered a lot. Finally I consulted Dr Dasgupta at Garia. He provided me enough support and asked me to bring my husband next time. My husband, reluctantly met him. But after talking to him for long time he felt relieved and agreed to go forward with treatment as the doctor advised. The doctor did not give any guarantee and after explanation did IUI and by God's grace I conceived at 1st attempt. Surprisingly it was twin pregnancy and as per doctor it was high risk pregnancy. We visited him at Behala chamber at my 4th pregnancy. I had 2 miscarriages and in 3rd pregnancy my baby died at 7 months inside uterus. When we came to Dr Dasgupta, he diagnosed that I am having sugar and started treatment immediately. He properly took care of me and my baby throughout pregnancy. Whenever I admitted for any problem he used to come and see me. My Cesar was planned on 10th August but on 9th August it was found that my baby's heart was not okay. When informed, Dr Dasgupta at once came at 10 pm when it was raining heavily. He did Cesar. Now my baby is okay because of him. I highly recommend him as the best doctor.

Having married for 5 years, we tried all treatment to become parents but failed. My wife conceived two times and each time she miscarried. When we met Dr Sujoy Dasgupta, I asked- "Please tell me if there is any hope and then only we will go for treatment, otherwise not". He did not give us assurance but said- "chance is always there and I will try my best". After thorough tests, he honestly said that no problem was found. We relied on his words and my wife conceived within 2 months of his treatment. We used to call her by phone even at midnight and he never was irritated. At 8th months of pregnancy, when my wife had severe itching with no movement of the baby, he asked us to go to him immediately and he arranged for emergency check up and tests and found that she had some liver problems. He gave medicines for it and took special care for her. He himself talked to child specialist for safe delivery of my baby and arranged everything. Finally last week, we become parents of our baby boy. I do not know what should I say about him. I wish God should give him the power in turning many more unfortunate couples into proud parents.

Dr Dasgupta always gives time to his patients and listens all our conerns carefully, without being impatient or feeling distributed. Before any treatment, he explains in simple and clean language everything we want to know. We went for problems in having pregnancy. One of my tube was blocked in HSG and my husband's sperm had low motility. He never forced any treatment, rather he gave us options and explained merits and demerits of each option. He said we could try naturally, go for laparoscopy and IUi or directly IVF. Finally we agreed to try naturally and fortunately I conceived and delivery was conducted by his expert hand. He is very much sincere to his patients and always attends their phone calls.

Unlike other doctors what we got from Dr Dasgupta was asurance but never false guarantee. He is sensitive and patient while talking to us. We had infertility problem for 3 years. Many doctors advised so many tests and drugs but nothing worked. It was only Dasgupta who clearly explained our problem in simple language and also discussed his plan of action. We married at late age and when we planned for pregnancy I was already 38 years old. After long years of trying, we finally met Dr Dasgupta and after checking us he suggested to prepare for IVF and in the meantime to try naturally. At that ti e also he arranged other doctors so that my pressure and sugar remained normal. My husband reached Kolkata by next day and found that I wad sitting with my baby. This is the day for which we both waited for ling time. I would recommend everyone to consult Dr Dasgupta who is knowledgeable and explains everything before prescription. He is not a human being, he is next to God.

I met Dr Dasgupta at his Clinic in College Street (Upkar Nursing Home). We have been married for 5 years and then we decided to start family. After tests my sperm counts were found to be very very low. I also had some sexual problems. But all the doctors we consulted gave importance only to my wife's condition. All her reports were OK. And everyone said that I cannot be father. Some advised donor sperms and some advised adoption but we were not ready to accept any one of these. My baby saw the light last week and it was delivered by Dr Sujoy Dasgupta on the day of Dolyatra. I cannot describe in words how grateful my whole family is to him. I repent why did not we heard about him earlier

We have seen many doctors but no one is like Dr Sujoy Dasgupta. He does not prescribe useless medicines and never asks for unnecessary testings. We were married for 3 years but never enjoyed our conjugal life due to erectile dysfunction of my hubby. He consulted many doctors but all were in vain. Dr. Sujoy Dasgupta is a young dynamic and experienced Doctor. He is very friendly to his patient and clarify everything very clearly if the patient has any query about his problem. It goes without saying that he is a brilliant Doctor in all respect. Being a patient, I am fully satisfied up on him.

I'll always remain grateful to Dr Sujoy Dasgupta. My wife was about to die. It was only Dr Sujoy, who saved her life, and also saved our family (my 5 years old son). 
It was a day of local municipal corporation election and there was political tussles outside. My wife suddenly fainted and had severe pain in her lower stomach. That day, it was very difficult to find a doctor. I contacted Dr Sujoy by getting his number through internet and he responded immediately. I took my wife to nursing home as per his advice.
Doctor also reached the hospital quickly and checked my wife and said that it is a case of "RUPTURE ECTOPIC PREGNANCY" that needs immediate operation. I agreed. The nursing home arranged for blood. Ultimately, she had the operation and now she is doing well at home.
Had Dr Sujoy not been there, I would not have seen my wife today. A mere "THank you" would be insufficient to describe what he has done. I really appreciate his care.

My mother was suffering from irregular bleeding from her uterus for long time. She was checked by many gynecologists but her problem persisted. Dr Sujoy Dasgupta is young but experienced doctor, who handles his patients sensitively and feels for their problems. I have been married for 2 years but could not enjoy my married life due to some personal problems from my parts. My wife took me to him. His words simply changed my life. He counseled me in excellent manner and advised very few tests and prescribed some drugs and also gave me some important tips that we never knew. All of these changed my married life. Dr Dasgupta is awesome, when my wife conceived after long period of infertility (treated successfully by Dr Dasgupta, after we consulted many doctors and became fed up), he was along with us all the way. We never hesitated to call him even at midnight whenever we felt it emergency. And when my wife started to have labor pain at midnight, Dr Dasgupta alone arranged all the others so that everything went on smoothly. Thank you doctor for giving us the baby and thank you for having with us throughout the struggle period of infertility and after that. The relationship was beyond any doctor-patient relationship as he felt our problem as his own. I highly recommend him.

Dr Sujoy Dasgupta is not only a good gynecologist but also an expert in sexology. My wife was under his treatment before her marriage for her PCOS and she got good results with his treatment. Now after marriage, I suddenly felt sexual problems, that I could not share with anybody. My wife took me to Dr Dasgupta and almost forcefully. Finally we consulted Dr Sujoy Dasgupta and he is very much competent, did not advise any tests and gave medicines and my daughter was cured within short period of time. Then she continued medicines for short time and then stopped and still she is not having any problems. Now, she attends college regularly and she is not getting afraid of periods. Thanks to Dr Sujoy, I recommend all my friends and family members to consult him.

I have no words to thank Dr Sujay Dasgupta. I had 3 miscarriages earlier and for this we consulted many doctors and they all advised number of tests and treatments but despite all these I had miscarriage. All the reports of me and my husband were normal except abnormal "TORCH IgG". Some senior doctor advised us not to conceive until the report becomes normal. But we were desperate to conceive and so consulted Dr Dasgupta. He assured that TORCH tests means nothing and we can conceive without fear. He said he would put stitch to the mouth of my uterus after I conceive to prevent miscarriage. I conceived and he put stitch at 20 weeks. That small stitch appeared to change my life drastically. Finally my baby boy saw the light of this world in August, 2015 in hands of Dr Dasgupta. Thank you doctor for helping us to enjoy the parenthood. Not to mention how he entertained my disturbing call to him in odd times whenever I felt any problems. he never got angry.

We are 2 Canadians, temporarily living in Kolkata. At age 43, I found myself pregnant! It was a natural (and surprise) conception after being diagnosed as infertile. Naturally, we were concerned given my age plus other risk factors. Dr Dasgupta was fabulous! He was patient, thorough and full of concern for us. He arranged an ultrasound within the hour and when there was trouble, had me referred to the best clinic in the city the very next day. He followed us through significant problems. Sadly, we miscarried, and he was there for us too. I highly recommend Dr Dasgupta. He's knowledgeable, compassionate and went "the extra mile" for two foreigners who knew nothing about how the Indian medical system worked. Thanks, Dr Dasgupta.
